The National Museum in Kaduna showcases the archaeology and traditional crafts of northern Nigeria, including artefacts of the ancient Nok culture famous for its terracotta figurines. Its galleries present pottery, ironwork and sculpture documenting some of West Africa's earliest civilisations. A craft village on the grounds hosts artisans working in weaving, dyeing, leather and metal, letting visitors watch traditional techniques. Ethnographic displays cover the region's many communities and their material culture.
