Havannah Harbour is a deep, sheltered inlet on the northwest coast of Efate, a scenic bay backed by forested hills a short drive from Port Vila. During the Second World War it served as an important Allied anchorage and staging area for the Pacific campaign, and relics of that period remain in the area. Today the calm waters host boutique resorts, sailing and quiet beaches, offering a tranquil alternative to the busier capital. Its blend of history, protected waters and coastal scenery makes it a rewarding excursion around the island.
