The Nausori Highlands are a rugged upland region behind the coastal resorts of Nadi, offering some of the most scenic mountain country on Viti Levu. Winding roads climb through grassy ridges and river valleys dotted with traditional villages, reaching cool elevations far from the tropical coast. The area is a gateway to waterfalls, hiking and cultural visits to communities that maintain customary life. Panoramic views stretch back toward the coast and offshore islands, giving travellers an accessible glimpse of the island's interior.
