This Roman Catholic cathedral in Kingstown is an eclectic fantasy of Gothic, Romanesque, and Moorish elements assembled largely in the early 20th century under a Benedictine priest. Its dark stone turrets, arches, and battlemented towers give it the look of a medieval European monastery transplanted to the Caribbean. The whimsical, romantic silhouette makes it one of the most distinctive churches in the eastern Caribbean. It faces the Anglican cathedral across a short stretch of the old town.
