Set on the Charlestown waterfront in a building reconstructed on the site where Alexander Hamilton is believed to have been born in 1755, this museum interprets the history of Nevis and its most famous son, the American founding father. Displays cover Amerindian settlement, the sugar economy, and Hamilton's early life before he left for North America. The upper floor once served as the meeting place of the Nevis Assembly. It is among the principal cultural attractions of the smaller island.
