Nevada Museum of Art

The only accredited art museum in Nevada, this Reno institution occupies a striking black building whose faceted form was inspired by the geology of the Black Rock Desert. Its collections and exhibitions emphasize the relationship between art and the environment, particularly the landscapes of the American West and the Great Basin. Rotating exhibitions range from photography and painting to large installations, and a rooftop terrace overlooks the city and the Sierra beyond.
