The New Afrika Shrine in Ikeja is a large open-air music venue run by the family of Fela Kuti, carrying on the tradition of his original Afrika Shrine that was destroyed decades ago. His sons Femi and Seun Kuti perform regularly here, and the space serves as the epicentre of Lagos's Afrobeat culture. Murals honour Fela's memory, and the venue hosts the annual Felabration celebration of his life. Beyond concerts, it functions as a community gathering place drawing both locals and travellers.
