Katara Mosque

A mosque within the Katara Cultural Village in Doha, distinguished by its exterior covered in richly coloured tilework in turquoise and gold. Its patterned surfaces set it apart from the plainer mosques of the region, and it is sometimes called the Golden Mosque for its shimmering finish. The mosque anchors the cultural village's blend of heritage architecture and modern arts venues. With its ornate facade and prominent position near the seafront amphitheatre, it is one of the most photographed religious buildings in the Qatari capital.
