One of the largest mosques in Riyadh, able to hold tens of thousands of worshippers across its prayer halls and open courtyards. Built with a broad central dome and slender minarets, it serves as a major congregational mosque for the surrounding districts, especially at Friday prayers and during Ramadan. The spacious interior is finished with patterned carpets, chandeliers and calligraphic decoration. Its scale and the crowds it draws during the holy month make it a significant religious landmark in the southern part of the capital.
