Eydhafushi

Eydhafushi is the capital island of Baa Atoll, long a centre of Maldivian craft known especially for feyli weaving, the making of traditional sarongs on hand looms. As the administrative hub of an atoll designated a UNESCO biosphere reserve, it serves as a gateway to the celebrated marine life of the region, including the manta rays and whale sharks that gather at nearby feeding grounds. The island combines everyday town life with cultural heritage and access to protected reefs.
