Cyclopean monuments of enormous stacked stones scatter the pastures of Menorca — talayots, taulas and navetas raised by island communities from the Bronze Age around 1600 BCE to the Late Iron Age in 123 BCE. Many align with the heavens: astronomical orientations and sightlines between monuments hint at a cosmology written across the landscape. Still framed by agro-pastoral countryside, Talayotic Menorca entered the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2023.
