A preserved cluster of buildings in Nanjing that served in the mid-1940s as the office of the Communist delegation led by Zhou Enlai during negotiations with the Nationalist government after the Second World War. The modest garden compound of three houses is kept as a memorial, with restored offices, meeting rooms and living quarters furnished as they were during the tense talks. An adjoining museum documents the period through photographs and documents. Visitors tour the plain rooms where the delegation worked and slept.
