The parish church of Canillo, noted for its very tall Romanesque bell tower, said to be the highest in the principality. Standing on a terrace above the village, the whitewashed church commands wide views along the upper valley toward the peaks. Its slender square campanile is a distinctive landmark visible from the road. The building has been enlarged over the centuries while keeping its medieval tower, and forms part of the trail of historic mountain churches in the parish.
