This aerial cable car links Nizhny Novgorod across the wide Volga River to the town of Bor on the opposite bank, and ranks among the longest passenger ropeways of its kind in the region. Opened in the 2010s primarily to carry commuters, it has become a popular attraction for the sweeping views it offers of the river, the confluence with the Oka and the city on its high bluff. The cabins hang high above the water, crossing floodplain meadows. It offers an inexpensive, memorable way to see the city from the air.
