Primorsky Oceanarium

Set on Russky Island near Vladivostok, this large public aquarium and marine research centre showcases the life of the Pacific and the world's oceans in a striking shell-shaped building. Its exhibits guide visitors from the evolution of life in water through habitats ranging from Arctic seas to tropical reefs, culminating in a walk-through underwater tunnel. A dolphinarium stages shows, and displays highlight the fauna of the Sea of Japan. As one of the largest facilities of its kind in the country, it draws families across the bridge.
