This wide horseshoe of cascades on the Trebižat River in southern Herzegovina drops in a broad curtain into a natural pool ringed by lush greenery. Fed by tufa-forming waters, the falls span dozens of metres and swell dramatically after spring rains. A popular swimming and picnic destination, the base is reached by a path or a short train ride down from the car park, with cafés and pebble banks along the water. Old watermills near the crest recall the river's long use for grinding grain.
