Rising from the wooded summit of Mount Avala south of Belgrade, this telecommunications tower is a distinctive landmark on an equilateral-triangle base. The original structure, long the tallest in the region, was destroyed during the 1999 bombing and later rebuilt through public fundraising to reclaim the skyline. An observation deck near the top offers panoramic views over the city, the Šumadija hills, and the surrounding forest. Nearby stands a monument to the unknown hero, making the hill a combined site of memory and leisure.
