This Gothic Revival building in the heart of León was designed by Antoni Gaudí in the early 1890s, one of only a handful of his works built outside Catalonia. Its steep granite facade, corner turrets and pointed windows recall a medieval castle, and a sculpture of Saint George battling the dragon stands above the main entrance. Originally built as a fabric warehouse and apartments for a pair of merchants, the restored building now serves as a museum devoted to the architect and to nineteenth-century León.
