Inside the riverside watchtower that guarded the medieval port, this small maritime museum recounts Seville's central role in transatlantic navigation and trade. The thirteenth-century military tower, built during Almohad rule, once anchored a chain that could be stretched across the river to control shipping. Displays include navigational instruments, model ships, engravings, and documents tracing the city's seafaring history. A climb to the upper terrace rewards visitors with views along the river and across the old city rooftops.
