Built for the 1929 International Exposition on the slopes of Montjuïc, this open-air architectural museum recreates a village of replica buildings and streets drawn from regions across Spain. Its plazas, houses, and monuments illustrate the country's diverse vernacular styles in a single walkable ensemble. Craft workshops, restaurants, and studios now occupy many of the buildings. Intended as a temporary exhibit, it proved so popular that it was preserved permanently, offering a tour of regional architecture.
