A compact range of more than twenty snow-covered peaks in the eastern Andes, with day routes climbing from páramo to the edge of the glaciers at Ritacuba Blanco and Laguna Grande. Access runs through the whitewashed farming towns of El Cocuy and Güicán, and permits plus local guides are required.
