A little-visited coastal park in northwestern Madagascar combining dry forest, mangroves and beaches around a wide bay. It is the only wild home of the ploughshare tortoise, one of the rarest tortoises on Earth. The park's isolation means visits require planning but reward travellers with genuine solitude.
