A long-distance hiking trail traversing the Corsican mountains from Calenzana in the north to Conca in the south over approximately 180 kilometres, consistently ranked among the most technically demanding and scenically spectacular trails in Europe. The route crosses granite ridges, snowfields, and remote lakes above 2,000 metres for much of its length, passing through the highest peaks of the island including Monte Cinto at 2,706 metres. The full traverse takes 15 to 16 days and requires self-sufficiency between staffed refuges.
