The tallest vehicular bridge in the world, its seven concrete piers spanning the Tarn valley at heights reaching 343 metres between the Causse Rouge and Causse du Larzac plateaus. Designed by Norman Foster and structural engineer Michel Virlogeux, the cable-stayed deck appears to float above low cloud during autumn temperature inversions. A dedicated viewing area at the A75 motorway provides the standard elevated vantage point above the valley.
