Sid Richardson Museum

On Fort Worth's historic Sundance Square, this small free museum displays the collection of Western art assembled by oilman Sid Richardson, centered on paintings and bronzes by Frederic Remington and Charles M. Russell. The works depict cowboys, cavalry, Native Americans, and the landscapes of the late-19th-century frontier, capturing a romanticized vision of the American West. Housed in a reconstructed period building, the intimate galleries let visitors study the two artists' handling of light, motion, and drama at close range.
