The Copperbelt Museum in Ndola documents the mining industry that shaped modern Zambia, together with the region's minerals, ecology and cultural history. Displays explain the geology and extraction of copper, cobalt and emeralds, and include a collection of gemstones alongside ethnographic material from the peoples of the Copperbelt. As Zambia's second national museum, it tells the story of the towns that grew around the mines. Visitors can view mineral specimens, mining artefacts and exhibits on the environment of northern Zambia.
